Homeport - San Diego, California
As a USCG Master of 200gt/500gt with sailing and tow endorsements, I am able to bring to you a maritime background packed with offshore, coastal and trans-ocean yachting/racing & general boating experience dating back to 1988. In 2000, the culmination of that experience lead to my starting G2 Marine, a jack-of-all trades private operation, dedicated to recreational marine engineering, maintenance/repair and delivery. Add a previous career in Mechanical Design (1990's) and the experience gained with G2 Marine, has brought about a logical progression to
the bottom line: I am a Captain/Engineer.
Concurrently, I run a private 100' motor yacht based in
San Diego and actively skipper sailing charters & deliveries. In the past, I've delivered high performance sailboats to 77' and worked on private yachts to 132', transiting the Pacific coastline from Mexico to Canada. I have completed nine Pacific crossings (both racing and return deliveries) to and from Hawaii
(including solo in 2000)!
Whether your concern is weather, route planning or navigation, I have a well proven track record of dependable, safe transits and a clean insurance record. You will find my experience at the helm and wheelhouse include watchstanding in the most demanding conditions with RADAR-ARPA/Chart plotter/instrument familiartity and use proven during adverse conditions.
